There is power, light and heat,
Sitting at the Saviours feet
Power to work transforming grace,
Glowing from the Christians face
Love that hate can not erase.

Being kind as neighbors should,
Warming up the neighborhood;
Going thus from day to day,
Walking in the Saviours way,
None go wrong or go astray.

Heat thus tempers tries and tests.
In the Christians heart it rests
A persistence in its rays,
Calm and gentle in its ways,
Piercing through sins gloomy haze.

Jetting through Gods Spirit wire
Coals a glowing love afire,
Love bound up in sacrifice
Soon can melt the neighbors’ ice
To eternity entice.
